Dr. Renae Bryant - Championing Leadership and Multilingual Education

Dr. Renae Bryant is an assistant superintendent and also serves as an adjunct professor and learning community leader at University of La Verne. Throughout her career, Dr. Renae Bryant has remained focused on strengthening leadership and multilingual education and creating pathways that help students develop multilingual skills and achieve academic success.

As part of her work, Renae Bryant contributes to the design and implementation of dual language immersion programs. In her previous position as an executive director of the office of language acquisition for the Westminster School District, she helped establish the district's Vietnamese Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program and its first Spanish DLI program. She also facilitated the adoption of instructional materials and professional learning initiatives that supported these programs and contributed to improved outcomes for English learners.

Dr. Bryant later served as director of Plurilingual Services for the Anaheim Union High School District, where she oversaw programs serving thousands of multilingual students. Under her leadership, the district expanded its dual language immersion offerings and implemented additional secondary programs. She also contributed to the development of the district's Plurilingual Master Plan and supported initiatives that expanded access to language-learning opportunities and pathways to biliteracy. During this period, Anaheim Union High School District's language programs received recognition through multiple awards, including the California School Boards Association (CSBA) Golden Bell and the California Association for Bilingual Education (CABE) Seal of Excellence honors.

Beyond district leadership, Dr. Bryant has shared her expertise through presentations, publications, and university teaching. Her professional presentations have addressed topics such as leadership, dual language immersion and educational equity.
